Sign PDF

Create your signature by drawing it, typing your name in a signature style, or uploading a signature image — then place it on the document exactly where it belongs and save. All in your browser; the document is never uploaded.

About electronic signatures — honestly

This tool places a picture of your signature into the PDF, which is exactly what most everyday signing needs: forms, acknowledgements, internal documents, school and rental paperwork. It is not the same as a certified digital signature (the cryptographic kind with identity verification, timestamps and an audit trail that services like DocuSign sell) — for high-value legal contracts, property or court documents, use such a service or a lawyer's process, because a pasted signature image alone may not prove who signed or that the document was not altered afterward. Within those honest limits, this is the fastest free way to sign a PDF — with the privacy bonus that your document never leaves your device, unlike upload-based signing sites.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a signature made here legally binding?

In many places a signature image on a document you genuinely agreed to is accepted for everyday purposes, but laws vary and high-stakes documents deserve a certified e-signature service. We state the limit rather than pretend otherwise.

How do I make the signature look natural?

Draw slowly on the pad with a mouse or finger, or type your name and try the signature styles. A scanned/photo signature on plain white paper, uploaded as an image, also works well.

Where does the signature go?

It appears at the bottom-right of the current page — drag it onto the signature line and resize with the corner handle before saving.
