How photos are fitted
Every cell is the same size, and each photo is center-cropped to fill its cell (the way Instagram grids do it) — so a tall selfie and a wide landscape can share a row without stretching or letterbox bars. If a crop cuts something important, that photo's own framing is the limit of any automatic grid; crop that one photo first with our Crop tool, then add it. Output is a quality JPEG sized for sharing; for print, collage fewer, larger photos.

Layouts hold up to 9. Adding more than the layout fits simply uses the first ones — pick the layout that matches your count.
